After exhibiting our Handmade in Scotland photobooks at the PGA Show back in January, we are honoured to be in China as official guests of Scottish Development International (SDI) on their Scottish Golf Trade Mission to China.
Through SDI, and our hosts in China, White Horse Holdings China (Golf Channel China), we’ve been granted privileged access to China’s top golf industry executives, golf destinations and golf tour companies - near impossible if we had visited China independently.
Our first stop in China was Guangzhou where we enjoyed Chinese hospitality making new friends (via our translator Nancy!) and an unforgettable round of golf and Chinese banquet reception at Foshan Golf Club, the venue for our International “Friendly” Invitational versus China.
Today we arrived in Shanghai to attend a Seminar focused on strengthening golf trade with China. Tomorrow, our fellow golf trade mission delegates Euan Loudon (Chief Executive St Andrews Links) and Alan Hogg (Chief Executive Kingsbarns Golf Links) will take the stage to further promote Scotland in China.
After Shanghai we visit Beijing for the Beijing PGA Show, another opportunity via SDI led meetings to establish links with China.
As a relatively small start up business, we thank SDI and VisitScotland for recognising the role our Handmade Photobooks and buddy trip photography play in showcasing Scotland as the go-to global golf destination.
