Being a Recounter Photographer

In his second year at Recounter, Andrew J. Tomlinson has quickly embraced our creative style and shown the commitment and talent required to be a Recounter photographer. Take a look at Andrew's superb shot of Kurt Viken from Carnoustie Golf Links above - it’s got Recounter written all over it!

We’re privileged to have him onboard, and here Andrew shares a brief insight into life as a Recounter photographer.

“I have two defining moments in my photography career; when my parents bought me my first Nikon L35AF camera and when I read First Light, a truly inspirational read by renowned photographer Joe Cornish. I already know joining the Recounter team will be my third.

I still remember my first encounter with Recounter's founder Kevin Kirk, when he passionately laid out his vision and plans to create something unique. And of course, it led to an easy decision – I wanted to be part of the Recounter Story.

Our first assignment together was a commission by Fairmont St Andrews to photograph their hosting of the 2013 KPMG Golf Business Forum, the leading event for the global golf business community. Hearing Fairmont’s Graeme Dawson say Recounter was awarded this prestigious contract because we “see things differently” filled me with instant validation Recounter’s style was already making an impact in the industry.

With our commitment to establish strategic partnerships, we continue to generate interest from leading Golf Tour Operators who see Recounter as a great way to record their client’s golf trip and gain added exposure through our creative photography and innovative book designs.

The 2014 season is upon us – and boy am I ready to create your next Recounter".
